The elevator broke down, which was a hassle, making it a pain to lug bags up and down the stairs. Noise levels from upstairs guests could be a problem with stomping around at odd hours. Also, basic fixtures like a coffee maker or a decent TV setup for streaming were noticeably absent, making for a rather bland experience.
